Beret Moyer joined the staff in 2004.  She brings rich life and faith experiences to her practice and is continually thankful for the opportunity of participating in an intimate spiritual and emotional journey with her clients.

Beret incorporates prayer into her preparation time before each session and embraces a holistic approach to the healing process, believing that the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected. Her approach includes the use of cognitive and behavioral methods to help clients change unproductive thought and behavior patterns; relaxation exercises; and spending time exploring ways the past may be affecting present problems and concerns. She works with clients to set goals that can be incorporated into their daily lives.

The journey towards wholeness is intentional and conscious. The moment a person chooses therapy, he or she is making a decision to begin a healing process to know the truth and to reclaim identity. For Beret, counseling provides a unique opportunity to work with individuals toward obtaining a constructive and healthy mindset and lifestyle.

She has experience working with depression/mood disorders, anxiety and adjustment issues, premarital and marital issues, life transitions, boundary issues, grief and loss, anger management, and assertiveness problems. Beret is a trained mediator and is a certification-ready Imago Relationship TherapistTM and works with all stages of relationship issues. She has a degree in Psychology, her MS degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College of Maryland, and holds memberships in the American Counseling Association, and the National Association of Christian Counselors.
