The Imago Center of Washington DC is chartered by Imago Relationships International to serve diverse populations and to seek to make Imago therapy and education accessible and affordable to all those who need it.   We are committed to providing professional training in and doing research to further the development of Imago theory and practice.  The Imago Center works in support of and in collaboration with our regional professional association of Imago Therapists as well as Imago International.

Imago Relationship International
IRI was founded in 1984 by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. and Helen Hunt, M.A, authors of the book, “Getting the Love You Want.”  IRI offers listings of national and international workshops and seminars for couples and singles, as well as training programs for qualified therapists in the theory and practice of Imago Relationship Therapy. Over thirteen hundred Certified Imago Therapists, over one hundred Workshop Presenters, and an Institute Faculty of twenty Clinical Instructors offer therapy, workshops, and training, and conduct ongoing research of significant relationships for the purpose of enhancing the systematic theory of Imago Relationship Therapy.

Mid-Atlantic Association for Imago Therapists
MAIT therapists offer marriage counseling and relationship therapy to couples and singles in the Mid-Atlantic States – principally Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C.. MAIT professionals use the Imago process developed by Harville Hendrix as described in the book, “Getting the Love You Want”.   The site lists local therapists, workshops and other offerings.

Illuman/Men’s Rites of Passage

For most men, the question of what it means to be a man is perplexing. Most men have a longing for the support and guidance of other men in their journey towards masculinity, maturity, and a deeper experience with the divine. In ancient cultures initiation rites and vision quests were used to help boys make the journey into adulthood. Learn more about retreats and Men’s Rites of Passage events.
