Using Polyvagal Informed skills you begin to self-regulate and co-regulate to people with an anchor in safety and connection.

Details

  • The cost of each session is $70/90 minutes will be billed weekly or can be paid upfront in a lump sum for a 10% discount.
  • Enrolled, group members are responsible for paying whether or not they attend.
  • We break into rotating small groups
  • Each session consists of an educational portion, an exercise, practice time, feedback, and discussion
  • There are exercises assigned for practice between sessions
  • Content sessions will be recorded and available for members to review. (small groups will not be recorded)

Who is Hayley?

I am a certified Advanced Imago Therapist, working in person and virtually from my home base of Washington DC. I am trained in Polyvagal Informed therapy and, I am a certified SSP provider.

What to expect:

What you might need to know or want for each session:
Each session will be recorded. Tapes will be shared as a link within 24 hrs. for your use between sessions.
Note-taking/journaling is encouraged.
No knowledge of polyvagal theory is required in advance. We will start with a basic review.

Group Guidelines

  • We will start promptly at 9 am ET each week.
  • I will send out an updated agenda 24 hrs. before each session.
    • What to expect
    • Zoom link
    • Link to the Group folder on Google Docs
  • Please arrive on time and be prepared to participate. You will need any note taking or creative expression you desire.
  • Plan to leave your video monitor on during the sessions.
  • Dyads formed randomly each week. Please have your camera on and audio on for dyad experiences.
  • Audio off except when you are speaking to the group.
  • Participation is encouraged. You can join the discussion by:
    • Raising your actual hand
    • Raising your virtual hand
    • Making a comment in the chat
    • Unmuting yourself and offering a response or question
  • Noticing and naming what you experience during sessions and throughout the weeks of the group will help you to befriend your nervous system; which will serve you well with clients whether you are using this with them or with yourself in sessions.
  • You may want to have an polyvagal journal and keep a regular record:
    • Your state of being (Safe, Activated, Shut Down)
    • The quality of your emotions (feelings words: happy, connected, angry, frustrated, anxious, sad, disappointed, stuck, powerless etc.)
    • Your physical sensations or responses
      • Heart rate
      • Breathing
      • Body Temperature
      • Quality of your muscles and joints
      • Digestion
      • Bowel Movements
      • Bladder
      • Eating Habits
      • Sleeping Habits
      • other?
    •  Your thoughts or stories
  • Files supporting the group are found on Google Drive
    • Files are updated weekly and videos will be added as we produce them.
    • These files are only available to people with the link.
  • Sessions may be structured as follows:
    • Centering/Meditation
    • Brief check in including observations from the intervening week
    • New content regarding regulation and polyvagal theory and clinical application
    • Dyads to process, observe and discuss, with guidance
    • Vagal Toning exercises/activities
    • Question and answers
    • Practice for the intervening week and additional resources

Our Cancellation Policy

  • Space is considered “reserved” after payment in full has been received. You will be notified when payment and registration are completed.
  • After registration is confirmed, requested refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee.
  • If a cancellation occurs within 14 days (two weeks) of the workshop start date, an additional $100 cancellation fee applies.
  • If a cancellation occurs within 7 days (one week) of the start date, a refund is not available. However, a 50% credit towards a future Imago Center event is offered for use within one year, pending availability.
  • Refunds and credits are not available for participants who “no show” or leave early.
  • Presenters are not responsible for non-refundable travel/hotel expenses under any circumstances.
  • Full refunds are issued for “presenter canceled” events.
