About Me
My style of therapy is warm and with a touch of humor. Most importantly, my approach is tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based practices like CBT and ACT to support deeper self-understanding, practical coping skills, and growth. For couples, I incorporate Imago Relationship Therapy and the Gottman Method to foster open communication and renewed connection. For premarital counseling, I use assessments to help you explore your individual and shared values as you prepare for your new chapter together.
While I welcome people from all backgrounds, I am especially committed to supporting clients from the African diaspora including African American & Caribbean, Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern, Native American/Indigenous, first-generation, and immigrant communities. I recognize and honor how culture shapes your story and I am passionate for advocating for what matters most to you.
Let’s be real—therapy usually wasn’t on the family to-do list for many of us in communities of color. So, if seeking therapy brings up curiosity, nerves, or even skepticism, you are definitely not alone! As a wife and mother, I get how life’s transitions, relationships and daily pressures can feel overwhelming. Above all, my goal is to offer a space where you feel valued. Whether you’re navigating a big life change, working to strengthen your relationships, or wanting to reconnect with yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
