Make an investment in your marriage or relationship. Building on a spiritual foundation, you and your partner will acquire tools to deepen your communication, build a bridge to each other’s world, and repair ruptures in your relationship. Whether married for one year or for ten years, this workshop will focus on renewing what brought you together in the beginning.
“Discovering a new way to love” is the theme for the Couplehood workshop. This affordable six-week session is aimed at transforming the world one relationship at a time and create a new model for marriage for your relationship. The couplehood sessions are dedicated to skillfully in a personalized way help address the core issues in a relationship and promote healing and connection. This workshop offers a more profound knowledge of understanding Imago Relationship Therapy. Imago utilizes a dialogical process where couples benefit from the wisdom of practicing a series of structured dialogues. Imago is based on a synthesis and extension of relational insights of many established psychological theories and spiritual faith tradition. This workshop will offer an educational insight into the dialogical process. The objective is at the end of six weeks these dialogues may provide a couple of a deeper connection and create a new spark in their marriage or relationship. It is also a powerful way to connect with other couples and learn these tools in a safe communal setting.
A New Way to Love is an educational program for couples based on Imago Relationship Therapy., a theory of couplehood co-created by Harville Hendrix Ph.D. and Helen La Kelly Hunt, Ph. D. The purpose of the workshop is to protect, nourish and transform your relationship into an enduring and fulfilling connection.
About Anne and BARRY
Anne Contee, MBA, M.S. has her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Loyola University’s Pastoral Counseling Program. For the last several years Anne has been providing professional clinical counseling to couples and families, integrating a holistic approach which emphasizes the connection of mind, body, and spirit. Anne is an Imago trained relationship therapist.
Anne and Barry Contee are skilled facilitators who have been married for nearly seven years and have a light-hearted way of transmitting the content. Anne was born and raised in India and Barry is a true Washingtonian. They will share their challenges and triumphs in being in an inter-racial marriage.
Workshop Details: A New Way to Love: Living God’s Purpose for your Marriage
- Couples will meet weekly on Thursday evenings for 2 hours over six weeks from Oct 4-Nov 8.
- A donation will be made to Holy Redeemer Church.
- Each couple will purchase a workshop manual for $18.00
