Led by Dr. Latasha D. McFarland, EdD, MS, LPC, Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, this group helps teens ages 13–17 navigate the emotional complexities of Summer break changes in areas like schedules, access to trusted adults, daily activities, blended family life, and more. Together they explore building confidence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and healthy relationship patterns.
Through guided conversations, creative expression, interactive activities, journaling, mindfulness, and peer connection, teens will explore topics such as identity, loyalty conflicts, communication, boundaries, trust, stress management, sibling and step-sibling relationships, and coping with transitions between households.
Teens will learn how to express themselves in healthy ways, strengthen self-esteem, manage difficult emotions, and build tools for healthier relationships both inside and outside of the family system. Most importantly, they will discover they are not alone in their experiences.
This group integrates elements of Imago-informed education, dialogue skills based activities, mindfulness practices, attachment-based awareness, and social-emotional learning to support teens in developing resilience, emotional safety, and stronger connections.
Designed to feel supportive, relatable, and engaging, this group offers teens a judgment-free environment where healing, growth, and authentic connection can happen.
Enrollment is limited to maintain a safe and supportive group experience
