Many challenges in couples therapy are not about resistance, lack of care, or poor communication skills — they are about difference. Neurodivergence is already present in many therapy rooms, often unnamed and misunderstood, leading to misattunement, shame, and stuck patterns.
This two-hour workshop offers Imago therapists a clear, grounded introduction to neurodiversity, including autism, ADHD, and AuDHD, and explores how difference shows up relationally in the Space-Between.
In the second half of the workshop, therapists are invited into a two-part exploration: first, reflecting on how their own neurotype shapes their therapeutic style and use of Imago Dialogue, and second, learning practical, Imago-aligned ways of working with couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent — with particular attention to safety and connection.
