Start Right, Stay Connected
Our one day premarital and pre-commitment workshop Start Right, Stay Connected is an excellent way for couples who are engaged, in a long-term relationship, or newly married to invest in the health of their partnership. Led by Caroline and Jason Bernhardt-Lanier, this workshop is designed for both heterosexual and same-sex couples.
Participants will learn concrete tools to lay the groundwork for a conscious, fulfilling and lifelong commitment, including:
- The relationship cycle and “love languages”
- Practical tools to deal with conflict
- Communication skills through the Imago Dialogue
- Ways to nurture connection and intimacy
Presented in a fun and interactive way, the workshop focuses on practical relationship skills. You will be able to enjoy the company of other couples while maintaining privacy — all exercises are done independently.
Please join us for this rich day of learning and deepening connection!
Details: Saturday, 9am-6pm, in a welcoming home setting in Bethesda, Maryland.
We break for one hour and fifteen minutes for lunch on your own.

Caroline and Jason set us up for a successful and happy marriage.
This workshop was very helpful both in equipping me with practical tools and in helping me feel closer to my partner. Well done!
I came here today because I thought it would be fun and certainly couldn’t hurt…I had no idea how much it was going to help! So happy we did this.
Caroline and Jason were warm and welcoming hosts. They created a safe and comfortable space in which to learn how to be intentional and connect with our partners.
We had such an enjoyable time learning about ourselves.
A great tool for the toolbox of a happy and joy-filled life together.
Caroline and Jason are incredibly warm and knowledgeable. A great example of marriage to learn from.
The workshop gave us a lot of tools for our relationship. Creating a relationship vision helped me think of our vows and what we hope to promise to each other.
